Every day is a miracle

Allah looked at Rashida from the heavens above and asked the angels, “Is there anything special going to happen to her today?”

“No,” They answered.

“I thought as much,” He agreed. “Let’s spice things up for her a little. “

Rashida was looking for her pen. She knew that it was somewhere in her bag. That was her favourite pen and she wanted to use it for her upcoming quiz because it was also her good luck pen. She searched and searched and became more discouraged with every search. When she thought that the worst had happened, she saw a piece of plastic bulging from underneath her pillow.

She pulled it out, “Thank God! I thought that I had lost you.” And throughout the day even when Rashida was a little late for school, and even when she was not selected to be in the school play, she was happy because she thought about what could have been that wasn’t.

Allah looked at Rashida from the heavens above and said to the angels, “Didn’t I tell you? It always works. Give them a reminder and they will feel that their life is a miracle.”
